Visit the Active Aging Center

As part of the project "Providing Alternative Approaches to Burnout Syndrome in Multimorbid Elderly Individuals through Interdisciplinary Collaboration," we visited the Denizli Municipality Active Aging Center. Led by VsI "Saules stygos" from Lithuania and developed in collaboration with Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, and Poland, the project aims to reach older multimorbid individuals with fewer opportunities and improve their living standards. According to Eurostat data, more than 50 million people in the EU have more than one chronic disease, and this number is projected to increase significantly in the near future. This increase accounts for 20% of GDP in healthcare spending. PABSEM will enable individuals over the age of 65 with multiple diseases to benefit from lifelong learning opportunities using emerging technologies. The PABSEM project encourages local learning centers, civil society organizations, and university research centers to work together to empower and motivate adults to learn life skills and core competencies.
