Polypharmacy poses a serious threat

The EMALT project meeting, with participation from Lithuania, Poland, Norway, and Italy, was held in the Netherlands. Polypharmacy poses a serious threat to individuals' health and quality of life. It increases the risk of side effects and hospitalizations, ultimately adding to healthcare costs. In addition to medication, understanding the impact of some non-pharmacological treatments on the quality of life of chronically ill patients is crucial for their psychosocial well-being. Our project explored case studies designed to address healthcare standards for disadvantaged migrants living in rural areas. Furthermore, the EMALT approach was designed to inform the teaching and learning methods of prospective therapists.
